NParks to launch 360 new allotment gardening plots, functions open…

SINGAPORE: Gardening lovers can shortly apply for one in all 360 new allotment gardening plots that will probably be produced by the Nationwide Parks Board (NParks) to cater to rising want.

Functions open on Friday (Sep 24).

The brand new plots are positioned in eight parks: Bedok Metropolis Park, Choa Chu Kang Park, Pasir Ris Park, Sengkang Riverside Park, Yishun Park, Jurong Central Park, Kallang Riverside Park and Tiong Bahru Park.

“Members of the general public are impressed to apply for the gardening plots nearest to their residence,” claimed NParks in a media launch on Wednesday.

This brings the overall variety of allotment backyard plots in Singapore to way over 2,000 throughout 23 parks and gardens, it added.

The allotment gardens scheme was launched in 2016 to supply much more gardening areas nearer to neighborhood housing estates. It can also be a part of Singapore’s imaginative and prescient to be a “Metropolis in Mom nature”, an important pillar of the Singapore Eco-friendly Plan 2030, defined NParks.
